Imbolc is the Celtic celebration of Brigid, the fertility goddess who poured the future into the river Shannon from her great iron cauldron (“Imbolg means “in the belly”). It is the celebration of springtime, rebirth, renewal and new life - buds on the trees, lambs being born. Brigid is also known as the triple goddess of poetry, healing and craftsmanship.
