Yoga at Uisneach: a Journey through the Celtic Calendar

Join us on the sacred and mythical Hill of Uisneach for a new series of events to mark the seasons of the Celtic Calendar with yoga, music, fire and folklore.

Since pre-Christian times, Uisneach has been regarded as the ceremonial & sacred centre of Ireland. Yoga teachers Alice Harrison and Katy Harrison will facilitate the event, and they will be joined by their father, Jack Harrison, a yoga musician and folklorist.

We begin our journey with an Imbolc half day retreat on the Hill of Uisneach, as new life stirs and transcends from deep within the womb of the earth, awakening and emerging towards the light. Imbolc is the Celtic celebration of Brigid, the fertility goddess and the triple goddess of healing, alchemy and poetry. Imbolc or Imbolg means “in the belly” and is the celebration of springtime, rebirth, renewal and new life.

Hill of Uisneach, Rathnew, Loughnavalley, Co Westmeath

What to expect:
Admission to Uisneach
Intention setting fire ceremony
Energising yoga practice
